The share prices of large London developers have surged over the past 12 months as equity markets rallied and the yields in the city of London significantly outperformed the UK market.

Real estate fund managers say investments in London property companies, which include Derwent London, British Land, Land Securities and Great Portland Estates, have delivered returns of about 20% to investors so far this year, a bright spot within European listed real estate portfolios.
