The UK financial services sector should make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to access the public equity markets, according to a report published by the City of London Corporation, as banks continue to cut back on their lending and businesses look for alternative routes for funding.

The City of London Corporation this morning published a report looking into the contribution of public equity markets in providing funding for SMEs based in the UK.
