The London Stock Exchange has named Charlie Walker as deputy chief executive in an internal promotion.

Walker, who is currently the group head of equity and fixed income for primary markets, will assist Julia Hoggett, the chief executive of the LSE, in the day-to-day operations of running the exchange.
