Plans announced the day after Budget promises tax breaks for bonds traded on venues known as multilateral trading facilities

London Stock Exchange eyes new debt market

The London Stock Exchange Group has set out plans to introduce a new venue for companies and governments to issue debt securities.

The LSE plans to go live with the International Securities Market in the second quarter of this year, according to a statement. A market consultation on the venue's proposed rules is set to be published at the end of March, the LSE added.
