The London Stock Exchange generated revenues of more than half-a-billion pounds in the first three months of the year, shrugging off a testing period for the group which has just named its next chief executive.
The LSE said on Monday that strong performance across its information services, clearing and capital markets businesses — which all delivered double-digit revenue growth — helped lift group revenues by 13% year-on-year to £520m.
