London tube is ‘virus-free’, TfL chief says

Andy Byford told the London Assembly that testing by Imperial College London did not indicate any traces of the virus on the Tube network

Transport for London commissioner Andy Byford has said studies by scientists have found London’s underground network to be “virus-free” as the local authority tries to increase passenger numbers.

Speaking before the London Assembly on 1 October, Byford told the body that testing by Imperial College London did not yield any traces of the virus on the Tube network.
