London’s finance workers can now get an Uber boat to work

The boat service will stop off at 23 piers, including Canary Wharf, London Bridge, Bankside and Blackfriars

Uber will be launching its first commuter boat service on the River Thames in London, as City workers start to weigh up their travel options for returning to work.

The US ride-hailing business will launch the service with Thames Clippers this summer, the pair announced in a statement on 8 July. Uber users will be able to book a river journey through the app and board the boat using a QR code on their phones.
