The £3bn London Pension Fund Authority (LPFA) has threatened to lodge a vote of no confidence in Vodafone's remuneration committee, which approved the £10m bonus for Chris Gent, Vodafone chief executive.

National Association of Pension Fund's voting issues service (VIS) sparked debate by recommending to subscribers that they abstain on several resolutions at Vodafone's annual general meeting on July 27.
