LSE boss named as new FCA chief executive

Nikhil Rathi is expected to take up the role in the autumn

Nikhil Rathi, chief executive of the London Stock Exchange, has been announced as the next chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, the City regulator.

Rathi is expected to take up the post in autumn, succeeding interim chief Christopher Woolard, who took over in March 2020 after Andrew Bailey left to become governor of the Bank of England.
