An activist shareholder is pushing the London Stock Exchange Group to start the search for a new chairman despite losing a vote to remove him right away.

The majority of the LSE’s shareholders today voted against TCI Fund Management’s resolution to remove Donald Brydon with immediate effect. Brydon does not plan to stand for re-election in 2019.
