LSE chief executive survives vote

London Stock Exchange shareholders are calling for Gavin Casey, LSE chief executive, to resign despite him narrowly surviving the vote for his re-election.

Speaking after the agm on Thursday, a partner at Keith Bayley Rogers, said: &quotThe honourable thing is for Casey to quit.&quot His comments reflected much of the feeling at the well-attended meeting where Casey and Don Cruickshank, chairman, and the board, faced a barrage of complaints about incompetent management and lack of strategy.
