LSE confirms return to global exchange body

London bourse is to rejoin the World Federation of Exchanges after a five-year absence

The new chief executive of the London Stock Exchange Group has confirmed the group's return to the global industry body after a five-year absence, re-establishing ties with an important exchange forum.

The LSE's return to the World Federation of Exchanges represents a new approach under CEO David Schwimmer, the replacement for Xavier Rolet who oversaw the group's departure from the group in 2013. It is also a major coup for the WFE and its CEO, Nandini Sukumar.
