LSE demands OM withdrawal

The London Stock Exchange has demanded that OM Gruppen withdraw its hostile bid on the same day that the Swedish exchange declared a low level of acceptance among LSE shareholders for its bid.

OM, which decided last week not to increase its offer for the LSE, said it had received acceptances from the equivalent of roughly 2.73% of the exchange's voters - some 810,725 shares out of a total of 29.7 million shares.
