The London Stock Exchange (LSE) and South Africa's JSE Securities Exchange have entered into talks to forge a technology alliance and to enhance the ability of South African companies to raise capital internationally.

According to JSE president Russell Loubser, both exchanges hope to finalise an arrangement within a few months.
