The London Stock Exchange (LSE) has hired Nic Stuchfield to replace Marc Bailey as managing director of EDX London, LSE's derivatives joint venture with Swedish group OM.

Bailey surprised the market last month with his sudden departure from the derivatives exchange less than two weeks after it started trading. Tom Wolstenholme stepped in the interim until another chief executive could be appointed.
