LSE revenues beat analyst expectations

The London Stock Exchange produced a higher-than-expected 7% rise in revenues in the final three months of 2011, but warns of weak market conditions

UK bourse operator London Stock Exchange Friday said it expects a good performance in the fourth quarter of its financial year after posting a higher-than-expected 7% rise in fiscal third-quarter revenue.

"The board expects continuing good overall group performance during the final quarter of the financial year, reflecting the resilience of the business and strength of the portfolio's offering. However, the group is not immune to the current weak market conditions," the LSE said.
