The owner of the London Stock Exchange has landed a key mandate to provide its systems and expertise to Argentina’s central securities depositary, marking the group's latest foray into Latin America and underlining its strategy to expand overseas via technology deals.

The LSE's Sri Lanka-based technology unit, MillenniumIT, will provide its flagship Millennium Exchange platform to Argentina's CSD, Caja de Valores, the LSE said in a statement today.
