Merger and acquisition know-how is gaining priority among many top companies, according to a study sponsored by KPMG.

The study by the Conference Board, a business membership and research organisation, looked at over 100 big companies that have undergone mergers or acquisitions recently, and shows that more than 45% have made M&A integration a core competency.
