Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) has hired US investment banking veteran Charlie Murphy to help its energy investment banking group firm up relationships with senior industry executives.

Bayo Ogunlesi, global head of investment banking and a former head of the energy investment banking group, said: "In his new role, Charlie will work with client coverage officers in the energy and other industry groups to help strengthen and institutionalise our chief executive and board-level relationships."
