Pension Insurance Corporation, a specialist UK insurer that buys up closed company retirement funds, has recruited a former M&A banker as its new head of corporate strategy.

PIC said in a statement on October 16 it has recruited Simon Abel, who has time under his belt at Fox-Pitt Kelton, Keefe Bruyette & Woods and latterly in corporate finance at Aon’s securities arm.
