Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) has relieved Dennis Eager, a member of its investor relations team, of his duties after comments he allegedly made last week about how the group could take advantage of the lack of UK government limits on toll road charges in Britain.

MIG, part of Macquarie, the Australian banking group, is the majority shareholder in Midland Expressways, which operates the UK's first toll road, the M6, north of Birmingham.
