Macquarie Capital, the investment banking arm of the Australian financial services giant, has appointed two bankers from rival institutions to help build its European business.

Michael Magliana will join from Jefferies in September to become co-head of Macquarie’s UK investment bank for the Americas, Europe and Asia, focusing on developing relationships in lending and advisory.
