Macquarie Infrastructure has chosen to sell a stake in one of its sister companies to pay for a recent acquisition spree, and said it may also sell off its stakes in two UK infrastructure firms.

Macquarie Infrastructure Company, the US-based infrastructure-investing subsidiary of the Australian investment bank, said Wednesday that it sold its stake in a sister fund, Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group in an overnight offering of 16.5m shares, to raise a total of $77m (€59m).
