Macquarie has hired an executive director at Goldman Sachs and a former Merrill Lynch head of M&A in Asia, as the Australian bank continues its string of advisory appointments in recent weeks.

John Dwyer has joined Macquarie Capital as a managing director in its European equity capital markets team from Goldman Sachs where he was an executive director.
