Magic Circle law firm Freshfields suspends partner payout

It is the latest law firm to announce measures in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has suspended its latest quarterly partner distribution, as well as pay reviews and bonuses, as it adapts to the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

For the three months to April, the law firm will not be handing out payouts to partners and it has put a freeze on pay rises for its lawyers. It has also delayed a decision on bonuses until later in the year.
