The UK’s Magic Circle law firms face being overtaken by US rivals in their home market, much as US banks conquered the City of London after the Big Bang, according to new research by broker Arden Partners.
Arden's report argues that the Magic Circle should bulk up through mergers, or change their strategy to focus on mid-market work, since they are losing the race with their US competitors.
