Major insurers are not taking the threat of climate change as seriously as banks and asset managers, campaigners have claimed, as the sector's biggest climate alliance fights for survival.

Heavy hitters including Allianz, Axa and Lloyd’s of London pulled out of the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance last year amid growing resistance to the ESG movement.
