Man Group chief embraces ‘second industrial revolution’

Manny Roman, the chief executive of hedge fund Man Group, described the investment industry’s rapidly changing environment as “a brave new world”.

In a wide-ranging speech to the National Association of Pension Funds' investment conference in Edinburgh, Roman said that improvements in technology meant we are now "living in a second industrial revolution" and that the California technology hub, Palo Alto, is "in many ways, the centre of the world".
