A 182% surge in performance fees lifted profits at UK-listed investment company Man Group in 2019, helping to offset a year of investor outflows.

On Friday, Man reported adjusted pre-tax profits of $386m for 2019, up 54% on the previous year. Revenues rose 22% to $1.1bn, driven by the performance fee jump to $345m.
