Two of the biggest banks on Wall Street are back slugging it out at the top of the mergers and acquisitions rankings after a torrid year for deal advisers – although the main data providers give the number one spot in Europe to different firms.
Goldman Sachs has been the top M&A adviser globally this year, according to Thomson Reuters and Dealogic, both of which have the US banking giant leading its rival JP Morgan in their year-to-date rankings.
