A net gain of £1bn (€1.4bn) in institutional mandates helped investment group Insight to a 4% growth in assets under management in the first half of this year.

At the end of June, Insight managed assets of £81bn up from £78bn at the end of 2004 which itself was an 11% increase on 2003.
