The legal and compliance director at M&G Investments has retired after 33 years at the fund manager, which is undergoing something of a changing of the guard in its most senior ranks.

Anthony Ashplant has worked in various legal and compliance positions at M&G since joining the firm in 1983, rising to become its top compliance executive in 1997.
