Marconi to tender £800m

Investment mandates totalling £800m (€1.29bn) are up for grabs at the £2.5bn pension fund of Marconi, the UK's biggest maker of telecommunications equipment.

A decision by Marconi to close down its in-house fund management operations, led trustees to carry out an asset/liability study to decide how best to allocate the £800m previously managed by the internal team, Stanhope Investment Management.
