The Bank of England governor Mark Carney has warned that the chances of the UK crashing out of the European Union without a trade deal are "uncomfortably high at this moment".

Speaking on the BBC's Today Programme on Friday, Carney said this was "highly undesirable" and added that the central bank was working to ensure it could soften the impact of such an outcome.
