Funds committed to socially responsible investment in Sweden have increased tenfold this year, to more than &euro6bn ($5.3bn).
This represents pledges from public funds, trade unions, and foundations to invest 10% of their funds into the asset class, according to Greger Hatt, president of Etikanalytikerma, the Swedish ethical research firm. Hatt says that growth potential in the market was enormous, with public funds set to focus even more of their &euro60bn-&euro70bn in assets into SRI.
