Europe’s financial regulators have reached a landmark deal on new rules for trading and markets in the region, but for many the hard work is far from over.

The European Parliament, Council of the European Union and European Commission worked late into Tuesday evening to hammer out an agreement on the second version of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive.
