Janus Capital Group, the US asset manager, has increased assets under management by 13% to $149.8bn (€131.3bn) during the second quarter of the year compared with the first quarter, thanks to the upturn in stock markets.
Market appreciation accounted for $15.5bn of the increase, and net fund inflows totalled $1.6bn. The bulk of the inflow came from the money markets. Risk-managed products from the firm's Intech division performed well.
