Richard Baker, who joined PPM Ventures two years ago to lead the private equity firm's marketing effort, has left amicably after the role expanded with the firm to cover much of Asia.

A spokesman for the firm said it had become a large operation in Asia. The business has expanded in the past five years from a single office, in London, to continental European offices in Paris and Munich and, now, five offices in the Asia Pacific region. The principal offices in that region are in Hong Kong and Sydney, with two-person offices in each of Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore.
