Markets could still rebound after Trump’s virus shock, says these investors

Equities in Asia and Europe and stock futures in the US all fell as uncertainty about the election increased

Investors have rushed to safe-haven assets as global stock markets quivered in the wake of US President Donald Trump's positive Covid-19 test, but some fund managers are suggesting that now is not the time to panic.

US stock futures, the Nikkei 225, FTSE 100 and Stoxx 600 all dropped following the announcement on 2 October.
