Marshall Wace Asset Management, the London-based European hedge fund, has seeded ex-M&G fund manager Andrew Gibbs' first hedge fund.

Duncan Ford, chief operating officer at Marshall Wace, said that it has created a hedge fund incubator partnership called Eureka Strategic Partners. It will seed start-up hedge fund managers and eventually release them to grow on their own.
