Martin Currie, the Edinburgh-based fund manager, has upgraded its analytics operations after licensing core technology from Thomson Financial, the news and information group.

Thomson has signed a two-year deal to provide its market, portfolio and analysis programme - Thomson One Analytics - to over 40 desktops at the Scottish firm, which has around £8bn (€12bn) of assets under management.
