Martin Currie strengthens telecoms team with Wight hire

Martin Currie Investment Management, the independent investment management group, has hired Douglas Wight from Commerzbank to cover equities in the telecoms sector.

Wight, who was voted runner-up in Institutional Investor's survey of telecoms analysts in 1999, joins Currie as a director on April 15. He will contribute to global stock selection in the telecoms sector across all of the firm's accounts, and will report to James Fairweather, chief investment officer at Currie.
