Martin Currie's deputy chairman resigns

James Dawnay, deputy chairman of Martin Currie is to leave the company at the end of September.

Dawnay's move to Martin Currie in 1992 was a coup for the Scottish fund management house. He was the head of marketing for Mercury Asset Management for a substantial period of time before moving to Edinburgh in 1992 initially as a fund marketer.
