Regulators in the US state of Massachusetts are sueing three hedge funds for pitching their products to investors whose net worth was deemed too low to gain access to the sector.

Hedge funds are typically aimed at investors who have earned at least $200,000 (€177,567) a year for two years or who have a net worth of at least $1m.
