Wolfgang Matis, head of global markets at Deutsche Bank who was widely expected to replace Mehmet Dalman as head of investment banking at Commerzbank, has not taken the job. Senior bankers had expected him to sign two days ago.

Deutsche Bank confirmed on Friday that Matis is still its head of global markets in Germany. The bank declined to comment on whether he had been in discussions with Commerzbank.
