Matt Hancock says UK vaccine rollout by Christmas is ‘absolutely a possibility’

‘The NHS will be working seven days a week, into the evenings, on bank holidays to get this rolled out’

The rollout of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in the UK by Christmas is “absolutely a possibility”, health secretary Matt Hancock said.

The UK could receive the first deliveries of the vaccine being developed by Pfizer and BioNTech this year, the secretary for health and social care said on 10 November. An initial rollout of the vaccine by Christmas in the UK is “absolutely a possibility”, he told the BBC’s Today show.
