Matteo Arpe quits Lehman Brothers

Matteo Arpe, a former head of investment banking at Mediobanca, has quit Lehman Brothers after just 15 months to join Banca di Roma.

Arpe is leaving Lehman to join Banca di Roma as head of its investment banking unit. He will also be number two of the whole group to Giorgio Brambilla, chief executive. At Lehman he was head of European strategic equity, working on both equity capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. He will stay on the advisory board at Lehman.
