Theresa May has urged investors to put pressure on technology companies, such as Facebook and Twitter, to remove "harmful and illegal" activity posted on their platforms.

In a speech today, the prime minister told attendees at the World Economic Forum in Davos that technology companies need to take their responsibilities to society seriously.
