Mayer, Brown & Platt, the international law firm, is in talks to acquire the Frankfurt office of Gaedertz as part of its aggressive expansion into continental Europe.
Mayer, Brown, the bulk of whose European presence is concentrated in London, said on Tuesday that it planned to merge with French boutique Lambert & Lee. The Paris-based firm has 14 French lawyers, including three partners specialising in M&A and corporate finance - Jean Pierre Lee, Jean Philippe Lambert and Thierry Leleu.
