Mayer Brown appoints counsel from Treasury

Mayer Brown, the law firm, has appointed Alexandria Carr to its financial services, regulatory and enforcement group in London as Of Counsel. Carr is a barrister and is the lead legal adviser at HM Treasury on EU financial services strategy. Carr will spend much of her time seconded to HM Treasury through August as legal advisor to a team considering eurozone developments, including an EU banking union.
